The Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA) reported that it was decided to impose an administrative fine of 19 million 650 thousand TL on 15 banks on the grounds that a transaction contrary to the instructions was initiated.
In a written statement from the BRSA, it was stated that the complaints submitted to the institution by individual and commercial customers in the process of combating the new type of coronavirus (Kovid-19) epidemic were examined.
The statement recorded:
“In this context, with the decision of the Banking Regulation and Supervision Board dated 14 May 2020 and numbered 9021, the Banking Law No. Pursuant to subparagraph (b) of Article 148, it has been decided to impose a total of 19 million 650 thousand TL administrative fines on 15 banks.
