Accordingly, total deposits in the banking sector (including interbank) increased by 67 billion 686 million 698 thousand lira in the week ending November 27, from 3 trillion 566 billion 134 million 426 thousand lira to 3 trillion 633 billion 821 million 124 thousand liras.
In this period, TL deposits in banks increased by 1.40 percent to 1 trillion 545 billion 336 million 864 thousand TL, and foreign currency (FX) deposits increased by 2.83 percent to 1 trillion 958 billion 485 million 639 thousand TL.
The total FX deposits in banks decreased by $ 75 million last week to $ 255 billion 945 million.
While the amount of FX deposits of residents was 227 billion 975 million dollars, 144 billion 5 million dollars of this was the deposits of domestic real persons and 83 billion 970 million dollars were deposits of legal entities residing in the country.
